Big Miracle

When three California gray whales become trapped in the ice near Alaska, a reporter in a nearby small town and his environmentalist ex-girlfriend try to rally an international coalition of forces in order to rescue them. Because of their efforts, the national American media becomes involved in the cause, and Greenpeace, the U.S. Military and even Soviet Russia are compelled to work together and ultimately free the whales.
